Andco Management, Ltd., was incorporated in March 1982.
We are a family business that strives to do it’s best. We currently have seven full time office staff and six full time maintenance men. We offer 24 hour emergency service 365 days a year.
We are particular about individual owners that we will work for, as well as individuals who will live in an Andco building.
My husband and I started the business because one of his clients (who was my old boss) said he would buy a 16 unit building from him (Fred was a real estate broker) if Fred and I would manage it. I was a stay at home mom at the time, and thought it sounded like a good idea to earn a little extra money. How hard could it be? (Learned my lesson the hard way on that one). Well, Gerry, was very happy with our management, so within six months gave us the rest of his portfolio to manage (105 units), and Andco was born. When Fred was the top sales person at his old brokerage company, J.M. McCarthy and Co., he would ask the old man who owned the company when his name was going on the window. The old man looked him in the eye and said, “Son, your name is already on the window…you’re the ‘and Co.’” So that is where Andco Management, Ltd. came from.
Our business has grown steadily over the years from referrals. We’ve never had to advertise for new business, and have a few times turned away new business because we were wary of accepting more than we could competently handle.
